Constructed Realities, Gigi Scaria, Photographs, 2018.

This work has three components. The first component is a site specific intervention, through which I subtly alter our physical surroundings to foreground how our realities are constructed. This reconfiguration is an attempt to question our normative ideas about space, social relations and everyday life.

 

The next two components are the result of a collaborative engagement with three young artists, Deepak Kumar Mandal, Ashish Parida, and Radha Kanta Turuk who document various aspects of life along the trail. This collaboration is an attempt to understand how the younger generation views the space of the Old Town and their aspirations and vision for the city.
